I found 2 nearly identical Kentucky hornstone quarry blanks one time but didn't realize until recently that 2 was enough to be considered a cache. Guess I'll just have to find another one. 😊

I feel your pain. Cant count the times i put my shovel in the exact senerio as you did, and heard the same crunch. BUT, nice findin the ear. Digg'n aint the easiest way to find, but its worth every minute of it when you're in a good spot. I live in Lauderdale County Alabama, if you're ever up my way, just pm me and we'll get a hunt together..

My gut tells me that if you're finding any other artifacts at that depth, then they obviously didn't bury those blades for future use. They were just stacked on the ground. Everything ends up being buried under dirt eventually.
